Contact

If you have questions, want more information about our privacy practices, or would like to make a complaint, email us at support@akincistrength.com.

Minors

The Site is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We don't knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, email us at the address above and we'll delete it.

Sharing personal information

We share your Personal Information with service providers who help us run the store and fulfill our contract with you. For example:

  • We use Shopify to power our online store. Read how Shopify uses your information here: shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • We share information with our payment processors, and our shipping and tracking partners, to process and deliver your order.
  • We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect our rights.

Behavioural advertising

We may use your Personal Information to show you ads and marketing we think may interest you, including on other websites through advertising partners. Where we use analytics or advertising services, we may share information about your visits, your purchases, and your interaction with our ads, sometimes through cookies or similar technologies that you may consent to depending on your location.

If you use specific tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok, or Shopify Audiences, name them here.

You can learn how targeted advertising works at the Network Advertising Initiative's education page: networkadvertising.org. You can opt out of targeted advertising through these services:

You can also opt out of some services through the Digital Advertising Alliance's portal: optout.aboutads.info.

Using personal information

We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you. That includes offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilling your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.

Lawful basis (EEA residents)

If you're a resident of the European Economic Area, we process your Personal Information under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") on these lawful bases:

  • your consent;
  • the performance of the contract between you and the Site;
  • compliance with our legal obligations;
  • our legitimate interests, where they don't override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Retention

When you place an order, we keep your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it. See "Your rights" below for how to request erasure.

Automated decision-making

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data. Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud, which does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you. This includes:

  • a temporary blacklist of IP addresses linked to repeated failed transactions, lasting a few hours;
  • a temporary blacklist of credit cards linked to blacklisted IP addresses, lasting a few days.

Selling personal information (California residents)

Depending on the advertising and analytics services we use, some sharing of your information for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"). If you're a California resident, you can opt out by emailing support@akincistrength.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".

If you've confirmed with a privacy tool or counsel that you do not sell or share data under the CCPA, replace this section with a clear "We do not sell your Personal Information" statement.

Your rights

GDPR

If you're a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to have it corrected, updated, or erased. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above. Your Personal Information is initially processed in Ireland, then transferred outside Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States. For how these transfers comply with the GDPR, see Shopify's GDPR whitepaper: Shopify GDPR.

CCPA

If you're a resident of California, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you (the "Right to Know"), to port it to a new service, and to have it corrected, updated, or erased. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by contacting us at the same address.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of information downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use functional, performance, advertising, and social or content cookies. Cookies make browsing better by remembering your actions and preferences, like login and region, so you don't re-enter them on every page. They also tell us how people use the site, such as whether it's a first or repeat visit.

We use the following cookies to run the Site and provide our services.

How long a cookie stays on your device depends on whether it's a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing; persistent cookies last until they expire or you delete them. Most of ours are persistent and expire between 30 minutes and two years after they're downloaded.

You can control and manage cookies through your browser, usually in the "Tools" or "Preferences" menu. Removing or blocking cookies can affect your experience, and parts of the site may stop working fully. For guidance on managing cookies, see allaboutcookies.org. Blocking cookies may not fully stop how we share information with advertising partners; to opt out of those uses, follow the steps in "Behavioural advertising" above.

Do Not Track

Because there's no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, we don't change our data practices when we receive one from your browser.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Complaints

To make a complaint, email us using the details under "Contact" above. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. In Singapore, that's the Personal Data Protection Commission: pdpc.gov.sg. If you're in the EEA or UK, you can contact your local data protection authority.
